Podcasting

Podcasting is a method of taking recorded audio programming and making it available to download via the Internet. The added feature, unlike just downloading an audio file from a website, is that the user subscribes to a feed.

When a new audio program (typically an MP3 file) is available the subscriber automatically receives the podcast file on his/her computer. The subscriber usually transfers the file to their iPod or MP3 player for listening to the “podcast” at their convenience.
